Nation of Islam. Are we at war?

We've heard that we are not at war against a religion, but it seems more and more that we ARE at war against ISLAM. Even the less militant muslims are very reluctant to disavow the killing of people. A look at history shows that Islam does want to take over the world at any cost. Hmmm...you don't suppose they're trying again do you?

Holding the Truth gently

When you have been enlightened by the Spirit of God and you have the inner sense of knowing what Truth is, there is that human nature that tries to sneak back in and make you think you're really something. It's the original sin which caused Satan and Adam to fall. Pride.

But if I am right...what's wrong with letting that attitude out? As a matter of fact, the World seems to love arrogant rock stars, arrogant movie stars and arrogant sports stars. You'd think they'd love an arrogrant Christian. But the opposite is true. Those in the World love their own. The dead...spiritually dead. They are looking for an excuse to hate the believers. Take a look at George Bush for example.

But the Word says... Romans 12:17-18 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. [18] If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

To me this is one of the top 5 battles of the older Christian. You have a lot of things right. They are proven and tested. You could solve lot's of problems for other people if only they'd ask, but the know-it-all attitude is not alluring.

Therefore, one of my goals is to hold firmly to truth, but to do it in love. The top priority has to be an unflinching grasp on truth, but there is a second priority. To be winsome...so I might win some.
